We decided to get creative and do-away with unnecessary cost such as the over-priced pre-wedding shoots, veil and car decor. We hired a photographer for our wedding day (not pre-wedding shoot) and DIY-ed the veil and car decor (and some others e.g. invitation cards, program sheets etc) and managed to keep and recycle them.
The wedding day started at 8:00am, my makeup artist arrived at 8:30am. Joie managed to doll me up nicely. ;D Indeed she did a marvellous job!

My dear Chimuis arrived at 9:30 ~ 10am. The bustling began, it was fun for me to see them around comparing notes and preparing the games for the Groom and Hengtais. The Groom and Hengtais arrived early at a lil past 11am. The Groom looking very good. The chimuis and hengtais played some games, which the hengtais need to prevail in order for the groom to meet the bride. All was fun and well.
We moved on to the Church reception, arrived in time according to our schedule. We feel so blessed to be in the midst of our dear family and friends. We are so honoured to have Rev. Daniel Yaw and Rev. Wong Fong Yang to pray and solemnize our wedding. Everything went on so smoothly, even our 1.5-yr-old flower girl managed to complete her task. :) The church reception and tea ceremony ended at 3:42pm (much to our relief, we expected it to end very much later).
The hubby even managed to steal an hour's nap, while I was sitting there getting dolled up for the next session, the dinner. Our dinner started promptly at 8pm and finished at 10:45pm. We are really honoured to have shared this day which marked the new chapter of our lives as one with all our dear guests, family and friends.
It was a great day, our wedding. Then again, wedding is but a 1-day event. It does not equate a good marriage. Marriage is how we make of it, very reflective. I am very happy that our first meeting when we were 9 yrs old had ended well with our reunion 20 yrs later. Thank you dear Lord for this beautiful planning and please do continue to guide us as we walk this journey with you.
